BCS, the UK’s Chartered Institute for IT, promotes wider social and economic progress through the advancement of information technology science and practice. It serves over 72,000 members including practitioners, businesses, academics and students, in the UK and internationally.

BCS now provides practitioners’ examinations in more than 65 countries. With rival products selling at the rate of more than 2000 per week prior to the recession, there was clearly a market for courses and qualifications that matched modern business life.

Throughout 2008 and into 2009, we were tasked with undertaking a comprehensive review of the Institute’s products and services in the areas of project management qualifications. The work involved exploring the current market in credentials for practitioners all over the globe.

This initial work is currently being consolidated and reviewed against the newly emerging BCS strategy.
