Personal, Team and Organisational Excellence
GENESIS
Aim
To introduce and develop Emotional Intelligence (EI) within individuals, teams and organisations. This programme is designed to have a lasting positive impact upon an organisation’s ability to embrace constant change and achieve excellence.
Options
The five GENESIS modules may be taken in a number of ways including in-house instructor-led training, in-house train-the-trainer programmes, one-to-one training (on or off-site) and public courses. We are very happy to discuss these more fully with you as part of a course briefing.
Programme Overview
GENESIS I
This is an introduction to EI in the workplace, and EI as an active technology for personal development. A central feature of Genesis I is the EQ MapTM . This is a tool for personal, team and organisational development and learning. Whilst the responsibility for learning rests with the individual, completion of the EQ MapTM serves as a basis for continuous professional development (CPD) and, therefore, associated action plans.
GENESIS II
This course focuses on generating an ‘internal observer’. It offers the tools to develop the competencies necessary for competitive advantage. The team and organisational effects of an EI culture will be examined. The strength of this activity is the individual’s evaluation of developing new EI-based behaviours.
GENESIS III and IV
Strategies for supporting team culture change will be introduced, the focus being on ‘EI in action’. This course equips team members with EI-based communication strategies for enhancing performance of the group on a continuing basis. The team members will be encouraged to participate in a transformational process, which will have demonstrable effects on the team’s overall success.
Genesis III concentrates on stress and assertiveness from an EI perspective.
Genesis IV is concerned with more specific EI-based communications strategies such as Managing Conflict, Influencing and Negotiation, and Giving and Receiving Feedback.
GENESIS V
This course introduces the coaching skills necessary to support EI throughout the organisation at the individual, team and wider group level. The training will include transfer of knowledge and practical coaching skills. The training can be shaped according to the needs of the client. Each participant will be expected to receive a period of coaching as part of the training process. This supports good practice. The establishment of mentoring schemes can be a part of GENESIS IV.
GENESIS is a five-module personal, team and organisational development programme which we have developed and refined over more than 10 years into the powerful and dynamic development experience it is today.
